Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate plumbing projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Inspect work sites to identify potential plumbing issues and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Plan and schedule plumbing activities, including material and equipment procurement, to meet project deadlines.
- Train and mentor plumbing apprentices, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and electricians, to coordinate project activities.
- Maintain records of project progress, including daily activity logs and timesheets, and report any issues or delays to management.
- Ensure all plumbing work is performed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in plumbing technology to improve work efficiency and quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a plumbing foreman in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team of plumbers and coordinate with other professionals.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to troubleshoot plumbing issues and make appropriate recommendations.
- Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, wrenches, and soldering irons.
- Detail-oriented and organized to ensure accurate project documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
Fluency in English is required, knowledge of other languages is a plus.
