Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with gypsum boards, taking into account specifications and blueprints.
- Apply joint compound and tape to seams and corners of gypsum boards to create smooth, seamless surfaces.
- Sand and finish gypsum board surfaces to achieve desired texture and appearance.
- Install and finish gypsum board ceilings, including the application of texture and paint if required.
- Repair or replace damaged gypsum boards as needed.
- Ensure all work is performed according to safety guidelines and building codes.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and electricians, to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
- Install metal studs and tracks to create framework for gypsum board installation.
- Cut, fit, and fasten gypsum boards to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand and power tools
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in gypsum carpentry or a related field.
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cuts.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry heavy materials.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
