Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the quantity of materials needed.
- Prepare and clean surfaces prior to tile installation, ensuring they are level and free of debris.
- Cut tiles to size using hand or power tools, ensuring precise measurements and clean edges.
- Apply adhesive or mortar to surfaces and lay tiles in a pattern, taking care to align them properly.
- Use tools such as hammers, levels, and trowels to ensure tiles are properly set and aligned.
- Grout and seal tiles to create a finished and waterproof surface.
- Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve skills and techniques.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a tile mason or in a similar role.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the construction industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to follow them.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
