Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Stone Manager is responsible f or overseeing all activities related to the procurement, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of stone materials (e.g., marble) for construction projects.

This role ensures quality standards, timely delivery, and budget compliance while coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Project Management:

Plan and manage stonework activities for construction and renovation projects.
Ensure timely execution of stone fabrication and installation as per project deadlines.
Review project specifications, blueprints, and BOQs related to stone requirements.

Material Procurement:

Source high-quality stone materials (e.g., marble) from suppliers.
Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships to optimize costs.
Verify material quality and quantity upon delivery.

Team Supervision:

Lead and oversee stone fabrication and installation teams, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently.
Provide technical guidance to masons, fabricators, and installers.
Conduct regular training sessions for workers to improve skills and ensure safety compliance.

Quality Control:

Inspect stonework for accuracy, precision, and adherence to project specifications.
Ensure proper cutting, shaping, and polishing of stone materials.
Resolve any quality or aesthetic issues during fabrication or installation.

Budget & Cost Management:

Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
Prepare cost reports and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Coordination & Communication:

Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and clients to understand design requirements.
Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders regarding project updates and challenges.
Resolve conflicts or discrepancies during project execution.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and local regulations.
Maintain a safe working environment for all team members during stone fabrication and installation.

Documentation:

Prepare and maintain records of materials, schedules, and work progress.
Provide reports to management on the status of stonework projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree
Understanding of different types of stone (e.g., granite, marble, limestone).
2-5 years of experience in the stone industry or construction materials sector.
