Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, managing installation processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about mechanical engineering and want to make a significant impact in the construction sector.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage mechanical installation works on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within the overall project.
- Review and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and specifications, providing guidance to construction teams.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Identify potential issues or discrepancies in mechanical systems and propose effective solutions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including reports, progress updates, and inspection records.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets, providing input on mechanical scope and resource requirements.
- Ensure all mechanical installations comply with local codes, standards, and best practices.
- Support the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems to confirm functionality and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing mechanical installation projects from conception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with relevant local codes, regulations, and safety standards in the UAE.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other design applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
