WE ARE HIRING - Senior Accountant
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage the daily and monthly accounting processes across AP, AR, GL, Inventory and Costing.
Responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the organization and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and play an active role in helping to develop and implement the company’s overall accounting strategy.
Manages the monthly closing of the accounts.
Manages the accounts payable processes -reviewing every payment request for accuracy.
Verifies that all payments are authorized and accompanying deliveries are received prior to payments being authorized.
Review a cash position report and prepare a cash flow forecast.
Prepare monthly BS/I and other reports as requested by line manager
Reviews all payroll actions prior to release.
Issues payments to suppliers after taking the required approval from FC and releases other payments to third parties in a timely manner in keeping with the accounting policies of the company.
Deals with internal and external audit enquiries
Reviews the all daily emails for the company.
Reviews all journal entries for PV/RN/DN on an ongoing basis.
Reviews all ad hoc payments prior to release.
Desired Candidate Profile
>Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA or any other equally creditable professional)
>Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience
>Experience in FMCG will be an advantage
>Experience in financial accounting, auditing, taxation and business law.
>Strong Knowledge of ERP/ SAP
