Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and managing safety protocols across all operational activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of safety among employees. The role includes conducting inspections, risk assessments, and training programs to mitigate workplace hazards and promote a safe working environment.

· Develop Safety Protocols: Create and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures.
· Conduct Inspections: Perform regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and work practices to identify and address safety concerns.
· Ensure Compliance: Monitor operations to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
· Training: Plan and conduct safety training sessions for employees to enhance awareness and readiness.
· Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards and conduct detailed risk assessments to prevent accidents.
· Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Emergency Response: Develop, coordinate, and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and training programs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field, with NEBOSH or an equivalent safety certification.
Experience: 4-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the UAE.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in safety management systems and knowledge of UAE safety regulations.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Other Requirements: Familiarity with emergency response planning and risk assessment tools.
