Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct site analysis and assessments to determine the best design solutions that integrate natural and built environments.
- Create detailed landscape designs using CAD software, ensuring aesthetic appeal and functionality while adhering to environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and other stakeholders to develop cohesive project plans that align with community goals.
- Select appropriate plant species based on climate, soil type, and maintenance requirements to promote sustainability and biodiversity.
- Prepare cost estimates and project budgets, ensuring that landscape projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Oversee the implementation of landscape projects, coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess landscape performance and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in sustainable landscape practices and technologies.
- Advocate for environmentally responsible practices and policies within landscape projects and the broader community.
- Prepare and present proposals to clients, effectively communicating design concepts and their benefits.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in landscape design and project management, demonstrating a track record of successful projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite, showcasing technical competency.
