We Are Hiring - Senior Planning Engineer
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for mechanical construction activities in oil and gas projects, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
Conduct thorough resource planning, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to ensure that all mechanical specifications are accurately reflected in project plans.
Monitor project progress and performance metrics, providing timely updates and reports to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Identify potential risks and delays in the construction process, implementing corrective actions and contingency plans as necessary.
Facilitate regular planning meetings with project teams to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for continuous improvement.
Utilize advanced planning software and tools to enhance scheduling accuracy and streamline communication across teams.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols during the construction process.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior planning engineers to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
Prepare and present detailed planning documentation for project reviews, ensuring clarity and transparency for all stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of oil and gas construction processes.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling within the oil and gas sector, demonstrating a solid track record of successful project delivery.
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are highly desirable.
Proficiency in planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and advanced Excel skills to effectively manage complex project data.
