Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations on-site, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Supervise and lead construction crews, providing clear instructions and support to drive productivity.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, enforcing compliance with safety regulations to minimize accidents.
- Oversee material management, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage to prevent project delays.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and engineers to discuss project progress and address issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, labor hours, and equipment usage for project tracking.
- Train and mentor new workers, fostering a skilled and knowledgeable workforce on-site.
- Implement quality control measures, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client specifications.
- Assist in budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of materials and labor costs.
- Resolve on-site conflicts and challenges promptly to maintain a positive work environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in civil construction, with a proven track record in site supervision.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is mandatory, demonstrating commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience in managing diverse teams, showcasing strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in construction management software and tools, ensuring streamlined project oversight.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods, with hands-on experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications with precision.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially in multicultural environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing challenges quickly and effectively.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions, ensuring presence on-site as needed.
