SME in RESERVOIR DEVELOPMENT EXPLOITATION – FIELD DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of intensive experience in the area of reservoir simulation, Reserves management and field development plans, monitoring of reservoir performance, Petroleum Economics etc. is essential.
  • Experience in conducting detailed field development studies of producing properties to determine ultimate primary and potential secondary & tertiary recovery and value additions to the company.
  • A training history of appropriate specialized courses and seminars is expected. Technical publications are valued but in-depth practical experience is paramount.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and to communicate ideas clearly with specialists in reservoir characterization and geologic modelling, petro-physical evaluation, core analysis, reservoir and resource management, and production engineering practices.
  • Extensive working knowledge of standard reservoir engineering application software for pre and post processing of simulation data and Assisted History Matching software and workflow along with soft wares like PTA, MBAL,  Decline Analysis etc.

Job Scope

This is an advanced level role that focuses on providing technical expertise and functioning effectively under minimal supervision on project-based work related to Hydrocarbon reserves management, reservoir management and understanding of best practices with experience in management of matured, tight and unconventional reservoirs and project management. Some of the key experience required are:

  • Experience in study and working out alternatives to optimize field development plan and maximize hydrocarbon recovery from new and mature fields
  • Experience in leading and participating in integrated reservoir simulation studies which include data analysis, model construction, history matching, calibration, and prediction. Apply special simulation modelling techniques such as fracture modelling, compositional, coupling surface and sub-surface modelling, and complex well and smart completions.
  • Technical advisor to management regarding best practices for reservoir management, Hydrocarbon resource and reserves management, simulation and modelling topics.
  • Good experience in Petroleum economics practices.
  • Experience in application of Petroleum Resources Management System (PRMS) guidelines, SEC and other systems to assess resource categorization.
  • Provide expert mentoring, training and teach in-house technical courses to develop young engineers
